- The Chamber will advocate on your behalf for issues that align with our association roles upon request
What we do:
- Liaise with and advocate to local government, politicians, members of parliament and government subsidiary organisations on issues that affect our community and its economic development, often taking a lead role on issues that are important to our members
- We represent our members and contribute to leadership groups, tourism advisory groups, and specific committees within our community to voice the concerns and issues affecting our members
- We facilitate events such as the Apollo Bay Seafood & Local Produce Festival, WinterWild, A Day in the Bay and on occasion other public or member networking events with the aims of promoting our visitor economy, creating a more collaborative business community and celebrating our region as a great place to live
- We use ongoing funding negotiated through the sale of the Great Ocean Road marathon to enable an annual grants or sponsorship program
- We support our members and the community by internal promotion within the association
Note: Businesses who have a business service package with Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism (GORRT) may be eligible for complimentary membership.
